Fun & Easy Ways to Celebrate the 100th Day of School With Your Kids

Can you believe it?! The school year is flying by and we’re already heading into the 100th Day of School! Whether your child is in preschool, kindergarten, or elementary school, this is a HUGE milestone worth celebrating.

At Tumble Shine, we’re all about finding ways to make everyday moments feel fun, active, and full of confidence-building joy—and the 100th day is the perfect excuse to celebrate just how far your child has come since the first day of school.

Here are some fun ideas you can do at home (or add to your routine this week!) to mark this exciting day:

🎒 1. Pack a "100 Things" Snack Bag

Let your child choose 10 small snack items and count out 10 of each (goldfish, mini marshmallows, cereal, etc.). It’s math, independence, and snack time all rolled into one!

🎨 2. Make a 100th Day Hat or Crown

Get crafty! Use paper, stickers, pom-poms, or stamps to decorate a “100 Days Smarter” crown. It’s a great after-school activity and perfect for silly photos.

📸 3. Dress Like You’re 100 Years Old

This is a school favorite—and for good reason. Pull out the cardigans, glasses, hair rollers, and canes. Bonus points if you stay in character with your best “old person” voice. 😄

🧠 4. Write a List of 100 Things

Make a list together of:

• 100 things your child has learned

• 100 kind things they could do

• 100 dreams they have for the future

You don’t have to do it all at once—it’s a great ongoing project that encourages gratitude and big thinking!

🤸 5. Get Moving With 100 Reps

Burn some energy with 100 movement challenges!

Try:

• 10 jumping jacks

• 10 hops on one foot

• 10 frog jumps

• 10 arm circles…

Repeat until you hit 100! (We’ll be doing some of this fun in class too!)

✏️ 6. Reflect on the First 100 Days

Ask your child:

✔️ What’s something you’re proud of learning?

✔️ What’s your favorite school memory so far?

✔️ What’s something kind you’ve done for a classmate?

You’ll love hearing their answers, and they’ll love being reminded just how far they’ve come!
