Keeping Kids Active Indoors During Winter

Winter doesn’t have to mean staying glued to screens! Here are some fun and creative ways to keep your kids moving and having fun indoors:

  1. DIY Obstacle Courses: Use household items to create a fun course for kids to crawl under, jump over, and weave through.

  2. Dance It Out: Play your family’s favorite songs and have a dance party to shake off the winter blues.

  3. Balloon Games: Try indoor balloon volleyball or keep-the-balloon-off-the-floor challenges—easy and entertaining for all ages.

  4. Fitness Bingo: Create a bingo card with activities like jumping jacks, bear crawls, or yoga poses, and let the kids fill it up as they move.

  5. Join Active Programs: Sign up for tumbling, ninja, or other activity-based classes to give kids structured exercise and fun!
