More Than Candy: Why Our October Events Truly Matter

Hey Tumble Shine Families,

As a mom and the owner of Tumble Shine, I just wanted to take a moment to share something that’s been on my heart lately.

October is such a fun and festive month—but let’s be real, it’s also busy. Between school schedules, practices, homework, and all the fall activities, it can feel like we’re running in every direction. And yet… this is the time of year that reminds me why we do what we do here at Tumble Shine.

You’ve probably seen our upcoming events on the calendar:🎃 Trunk or Treat on October 25th from 4–6 PM🌟 Glow Party immediately after from 6:30–8:30 PM (ages 6+)

On the surface, they’re fun community events filled with costumes, candy, glow sticks, games, and good energy—and YES, those things are amazing (and definitely kid favorites 😉).

But for us, it’s always about something more: belonging.

When your child walks into a Tumble Shine event, they’re not just attending—they’re connecting. They’re entering a space where people know their name, celebrate their effort, and genuinely care that they’re there.

I see it every time a quiet kid lights up when a friend invites them to join a game...Every time a coach cheers for a preschooler who nails their skill during Fall Break Camp...Every time parents high-five in the parking lot after Trunk or Treat because they had fun too.

These little moments create confidence.They create friendships.They create a sense of safety and connection that sticks with kids long after the candy is gone or the glow lights fade.

So yes, our October 25th events will be FUN (capital F!)… but even more importantly, they’ll be filled with moments that matter—moments where kids feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger.
